A’ja Wilson leaves fans in stitches with expletive-laden response to question about USA teammate during live Olympics broadcast

A’ja Wilson had nothing but praise for her teammate, Kahleah Copper, when she offered a succinct, expletive-laden review of her performance at the Paris Olympics.

After the USA women’s basketball team took home their eighth consecutive gold medal, an NBC sideline reporter asked the WNBA superstar to describe Copper.

‘That b***h,’ she promptly responded during the live broadcast, before the network was able to bleep out the curse word.

Wilson then stared directly into the camera before walking off.

‘I cackled at the TV,’ one fan wrote on X.

‘She ain’t wrong!!!’ another chimed in.

A third added, ‘It’s the look into the camera for me. SHE AINT LIE THO.’

The 28-year-old, who celebrated her birthday earlier this week, scored 21 points during America’s 67-66 victory over France on Saturday.

Copper, for her part, finished with 12 points, including two crucial free throws with 3.9 seconds left of play.

Their victory came less than 24 hours after the U.S. men’s team also beat France in the title game. This was the first time in Olympic history that both gold medal games featured the same two teams.

Unlike the men’s game, though, this one came down to the final minute and one last shot by France that was just inside the three-point line.

LeBron attended the women’s final with his wife Savannah and their nine-year-old daughter Zhuri Nova, while his teammates Bam Adebayo and Derrick White sat alongside them.

The late Kobe Bryant’s family also attended the game, and celebrated the win with Sabrina Ionescu, who was mentored by the Lakers legend.

His widow Vanessa and daughters Natalia, Capri, and Bianka were all smiles as they exchanged hugs after the shooting guard secured gold in her first Olympic campaign.

Ionescu worked closely with Kobe to develop as a player when their mentor-mentee relationship grew through her college years.

After the five-time NBA champion died in 2020, Ionescu maintained contact with Bryant’s family – as her professional and international careers took off.

That same year, Ionescu was drafted first overall by the New York Liberty.
