But Alan Carr appeared to be in excellent spirits as he enjoyed a very boozy night out with a group of friends in Soho, London, on Tuesday.
The comedian, 45, looked a bit worse for wear as he struck playful poses and threw his arm around a friend after enjoying a packed evening of drinking.

He appeared to have made the most of the night out as he cut a casual figure in grey jeans, which he paired with a green Hawaiian shirt and a red denim jacket.
He kept comfortable in a pair of white trainers while he sported his signature black square frame glasses as he partied the night away.
Alan appeared to be in jubilant spirits as he was seen grinning and laughing, while he also held hands and put his arm around one mystery friend.
His friend looked smart in a wide-leg pinstriped suit and a black leather jacket and the pair were seen embracing as they walked along the pavement.

Alan and his friends had earlier watched Bourgeois and Maurice star in their comedy show Pleasure Seekers at The Soho Theatre, according to the Mirror.
The funnyman called the performance ‘hilarious’ before letting his hair down on the boozy night out, which reportedly saw the pals propping each other up.
It was also claimed the group struggled to secure a taxi for around 20 minutes at the end of the fun-filled night as they got ready to head home.
It comes after Alan revealed he had hired a personal trainer to get into shape following his split from husband Paul, 50, in January after four years.

Speaking to trainer Joe Wicks last month, he joked: ‘I have just gone through a divorce so I told the trainer I want a revenge body. But I think he thought I said I wanted a blancmange body’.
During the episode of Alan’s Life is A Beach podcast, the Chatty Man star asked The Body Coach for tips on getting ‘beach body’ ready.
Joe replied: ‘Tap into the mental health benefits of exercise. If you wake up with energy, you’ve got the time to exercise, you’ll want to do it for your mind to feel less stress, especially when you are going through something emotional’.
‘Do it for those reasons and the fat loss will come.’

Despite their imminent divorce, Alan’s estranged husband Paul has been regularly returning to their Kent farm they once shared.
A source told MailOnline that Paul has been returning to help look after their dogs, goats, sheep, alpacas and peacocks.
Paul, who spent two nights in jail after being convicted of drink-driving earlier this year, is staying in a friend’s spare room while the pair finalise their divorce, a source said.
‘But he’s back at the marital home most days for the animals.’
