Aldi Australia to launch luxe homewares collection

With a host of high-end designer trends constantly flooding Instagram and Facebook feeds every day, many are forking out thousands to keep up with the most stylish and in-demand items.  

But thrifty homeowners are in luck, with Aldi Australia’s new luxe homewares collection offering them the chance to get their hands on their dream items for a fraction of the designer price. 

On Wednesday, the discount chain’s Style Your Room range will be launched in stores until stocks last as part of their weekly Special Buys and promises to help people ‘transform their home with affordable style and luxury’.

But thrifty homeowners are in luck, with Aldi Australia’s new luxe homewares collection offering them the chance to get their hands on their dream items for a fraction of the designer price (pictured is a room styled for $377 with the Urban Simplicity collection)

To help guide and inspire customers, the Aldi team created three ‘on trend’ looks titled Urban Simplicity, Empire Collection and Global Mix.

There are two curated looks within the collection – a pink and taupe combination and blue and grey – with each of them including items like $12 cushions, $10 candles and an on trend fabric accent arm chair for $99.99. 

The Empire Collection is all about 'reimagining glamour the art deco way' and was inspired by the 'glamour and timeless chic of New York high society' - this cost $186.95 to put together

There is also a plush throw blanket for $16.99, a gorgeous lamp for $39.99 and sets of three framed artworks for $49.99. 

One of the styled rooms cost $377 to put together.

Key features of this collection include a black, white and  teal palette, tinted glass and textured soft furnishings.

Items include 500 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets for $69.99, $49.99 woven rugs, iron copper side tables for $39.99 and chests of drawers for $149

There are also multifunctional pieces like the $39.99 marble side tables (similar ones retailing for more than $1,000) and monochromatic, unique cushions starting from $12,99.

The final Global Mix collection is all about blue tones and is a blend of ‘cultures and traditional crafts from across the globe’. 

Aldi explains: ‘Indian paisleys, arabesque geometrics, rhythmic compositions of medallions and hand painted tie dyes are unified in a sea of blues with highlights of maize yellow and neutral tones to celebrate a global mix of traditional crafts, techniques and patterns.’

A representative for Aldi told News.com.au that they anticipate the collection will be ‘popular’ and suggest customers head into store as soon as it goes on sale. 

They also said that the ‘Tate’ fabric arm chair, $99.99, is expected to be one of the most popular items in the collection.
