An Aldi shopper was shocked to learn that supermarket price tags aren’t actually paper inside plastic coverings, like she’d always thought. 

Jenna Goodwin, from Staffordshire, took to her TikTok @jennatheravenuk after noticing something bizarre in the supermarket isle.

The photographer was gobsmacked to see a price tag which read ‘£1.99 smokey BBQ’ flickering and realised if was a small digital screen. 

The clip quickly went viral racking up over 4.8 million views and more than 340, 000 likes.

She captioned the clip: ‘I feel like I’ve discovered one of the secrets of the universe.’ 

The video showed Jenna doing her shopping in the store when she stopped to film a price tag which was glitching. 

She said: ‘Oh my God, my entire life has been a lie. Did anyone else think the prices in Aldi were pieces of paper?
