Alejandro Garnacho’s brother takes aim at Pep Guardiola and Man City after the forward helped Man United to FA Cup win over arch rivals

Alejandro Garnacho’s brother has taken aim at Pep Guardiola and Manchester City following the FA Cup final.

Manchester United stunned their rivals to win the FA Cup on Saturday at Wembley, beating Guardiola’s side 2-1 to ensure they won a second trophy in as many years under Erik ten Hag.

Garnacho netted the first goal of the game after a mix-up between Josko Gvardiol and Stefan Oretga, before Kobbie Mainoo netted a second minutes later to give United breathing space heading into half time.

Jeremy Doku halved the deficit in the second half after an Andre Onana error, but United held onto win, leaving City with just the Premier League to show for their 2023-34 season.

On social media after the game, Garnacho’s brother, Roberto, trolled City and their manager in sharing a meme to his X (formerly Twitter) account.

The forward’s younger brother shared a modified image that was taken from the video game Grand Theft Auto, which features character Franklin and his dog, Chop.

It shows the character stood with a baseball bat, holding onto Rottweiler Chop via a steel chain.

In the post, Roberto had changed the face of Franklin to be Garnacho’s face, while Guardiola’s face was edited onto Chop’s body.

The caption read: ‘Manchester is red Pepe,’ with the teenager a regular on social media, defending his brother from critics and taking aim at his rivals.

Earlier on, during the game, Roberto had posted on X: ‘KOBBIE AND GARNA , BEST YOUNG PLAYERS IN THE WORLD,’ after the duo became the first teenagers to score in an FA Cup final since Cristiano Ronaldo in 2004, who netted in a 3-0 win over Millwall while also playing for United.

In April, meanwhile, he shared a compilation of United’s Carabao Cup win from last year, captioned: ‘I will never forget last season man.’

Garnacho’s strike took him to 10 goals for the season from 50 games, having been a mainstay in Ten Hag’s side for the majority of the campaign.

Doubts remain over Ten Hag’s future, with United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe turning his back on a reporter after the game when asked if the Dutchman would stay in charge.

Ten Hag, meanwhile, made one final plea to keep his job post-match, again blaming his side’s dismal league season on injuries.
