Alesha Dixon is forced to film Simon Cowell’s Walk The Line from home

‘It’s just not worth the risk to the crew’: Alesha Dixon is forced to film Simon Cowell’s Walk The Line from home as singer isolates after testing positive for COVID-19

She has been filming for Simon Cowell’s new show, Walk The Line.

But on Monday, Alesha Dixon, 43, was forced to film from home after coming into contact with someone who’s tested positive for Covid-19.

The presenter will be judging via a video link for the talent show as she has been told to isolate as a precaution.

Disaster! Alesha Dixon has halted her filming of Simon Cowell’s show Walk The Line after being forced to isolate at home following contact with Covid-19

Fortunately the singer tested negative following a lateral flow test but the show will continue to film without her incase she presents symptoms.

A source told The Sun: ‘Alesha feels fine and is negative according to tests. But to be safe she’s keeping herself to herself and avoiding going on set until she’s had the definitive all-clear.’

‘It’s just not worth the risk to the rest of the production, the crew, her co-judges and the contestants.’

Despite not appearing on screen – a contrast to what UK and US audiences have become accustomed to over the past two decades – Simon will take on the role of executive producer.

Alesha’s reps have been contacted for comment.

Walk The Line will air on ITV and ITV Hub later in the year.
