Alex Jones looks chic in a trouser suit as she hosts the 2021 BAFTA Cymru Awards in Cardiff

She gave birth to daughter Annie on August 21 with her husband Charlie Thomson.  

And just two months on, Alex Jones, 44, looked incredibly chic in a sleek trouser suit as she hosted the 2021 BAFTA Cymru Awards in Cardiff, Wales, on Sunday. 

The One Show presenter- who is also mum to Teddy, four, and Kit, two – was the epitome of elegance in her classic black suit, which she teamed with a silk blouse.

Alex’s tailored ensemble featured shiny lapels and crease-front trousers, which skimmed her slim figure. 

The mum-of-three wore her off-white blouse with a button open at the neck and boosted her height with pointed black stilettos. 

Her brunette tresses were styled into loose waves and her natural beauty was enhanced with a flawless make-up look.

On Friday, Alex gave her Instagram followers a glimpse into life as a working mum as she returned to her presenting role on The One Show.

Cradling her baby while tending to her boys, the Welsh native chatted away to a member of staff on the set of the BBC One programme.  

In her caption, she wrote: ‘The juggle. Nice to be @bbctheoneshow for a couple of nights but it’s back to the day job for now, looking after these little ones.’  

The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant gave birth to Annie at Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital in London and documented the experience for her followers on Instagram.

In the footage, Alex appeared to have been planning a water birth, as she shared a clip of her husband trying to play soothing music while stood next to a birthing pool. 

Appreciating her other half’s efforts, she quipped: ‘The importance of a good birthing partner’. 

However, Alex revealed that it took a while for labour to get going as she shared a hilarious snap of Charlie sleeping next to the pool. 

She penned: ‘But even he got a bit bored as we waited for contractions. Reminded him later of how many babies have probably been born on that beanbag’.

Sweet: Alex previously shared a photograph of her breastfeeding her newborn in hospital, as she mused: 'Then the ultimate reward!!!'

After a wait, things began to move along, with Alex revealing she had been transferred to a hospital bed while her contractions kicked in. 

She explained: ‘Finally we had a bit of action. Got to love a bit of gas and air…’

The next adorable image saw Alex breastfeeding her newborn, as she mused: ‘Then the ultimate reward!!!’  

After mum and baby Annie were both declared healthy, it was time to be discharged, with Alex sharing a smiling selfie in the lift with her husband and their newborn.  

‘Eventually we got to take her home to meet her brothers’, she wrote.
