She rose to fame as the single mother who stole Richie Strahan’s heart on the 2016 season of The Bachelor.
But shortly after Alex Nation split with her reality TV star boyfriend, the model and radio presenter shocked the nation by revealing she was in a same-sex relationship with her footy teammate, Maegan Luxa.
And this week, the 26-year-old – who became engaged to Maegan last year – spoke about both her romance and sexuality in an intimate interview with Cosmopolitan.

‘People ask, “Are you gay now?” And I say, “No, I’m just Alex!”‘ she told the magazine.
Alex explained that she has always identified as pansexual, but revealed it was ‘a confusing time’ when she actually began to develop feelings for Maegan.
The couple met last year while playing for the Frankston Bombers football team.

Since getting together, the pair have been spotted putting on very public displays of affection, both locally and abroad.
However, Alex vehemently denied to Cosmopolitan that her relationship with Maegan was any kind of publicity stunt.
‘That grinds my gears. Why would I put myself through that? My life can be complicated enough as it is,’ she bluntly said.

Last December, Alex was mocked by her 88.3 Southern FM radio colleagues for staging paparazzi photos of herself and Maegan in Bali, after she had complained about unflattering media coverage.
Referring to photos of Alex straddling Maegan on the beach, her co-host Jay Bruno joked: ‘You can’t tell them to come down to the beach, when you’re down there to take photos of you looking good, and then have a go at them!’
Alex has not revealed any plans for her upcoming wedding with Maegan, and it remains unclear her ex-boyfriend Richie will be receiving an invite.
