Age-defying Alex Pike, 45, reveals her skincare hacks to get you through the bitterly cold winter months
Alex Pike is famed for her ageless good looks.
And now the 45-year-old former WAG has shared her skin care secrets for winter.
The cosmetic nurse and health and wellness expert has recommended a handful of hacks for the chilly season including tips on the best diet for skincare.
In an interview with life style blog Eat Live Escape, Alex said that dry skin was the biggest issue in the winter months.
With colder temperatures leaving the skin feeling raw, Alex suggested a heavier moisturiser for night times.

‘Tackling skin dryness is actually easiest to manage from the inside out,’ she added.
‘It’s very important to keep hydrated. It’s so easy to forget to keep up the water intake when it’s chilly, so supplementing water for herbal teas and hot water and lemon is great to keep up the fluids.’
She also recommended scaling back retinoid and acidic cleansers in the winter months, because the skin’s natural moisture offers protection against the chilly temperatures.
Alex also suggested to use sunscreen, as the Australian can still produce dangerously high UV rays in the colder months.
Meanwhile, Alex advised beauty fans to use a new routine for nighttime, called slugging.
This involves applying an occlusive product, like a heavy moisturiser, before bedtime, to create a protective layer to the skin to prevent water loss.

When it comes to diet, Alex says the skin care conscious should be filing their plate with foods like blueberries, strawberries, oranges, avocados, kale and spinach.
These choices help to create a diet heavy in antioxidants.
Alex shot to fame in 2021 when she started dating AFL legend Nathan Buckley following his split with his wife of 18 years, Tania Minnici.
The pair broke up for good in 2022.
