King Richard sees Will Smith transforming into the father-turned-coach of Serena and Venus Williams.
The movie will focus on Williams’s journey to controversy and hardship as well as his own past to coach and train his daughters.
Zach Baylin penned the script and Reinaldo Marcus Green is set to direct; the film will be produced by Will, Tim White, Trevor White and James Lassiter.
The Help’s Aunjanue Ellis will play Venus and Serena’s mother Oracene ‘Brandy’ Williams.
King Richard is set to hit theaters on November 25, 2021 from Warner Brothers Pictures.
