Celeb-favored fashion brand Alice + Olivia presented its spring/summer 2018 collection at Skylight Clarkson studios in New York City this afternoon.
FEMAIL caught up with the brand’s designer, Stacey Bendet, before the show to get the scoop on the stylish collection. ‘The Chelsea Hotel is such a landmark and known for being home to iconic creative types,’ she said.
‘So then I thought, “If the Chelsea Hotel existed today, who would live there and what would it look like?” I started to reach out to my female artist friends and asked them if they would like to design a room to depict their vision of what the Chelsea Hotel would look like today.’

Lounge! ‘I reached out to my female artist friends and asked them if they would like to design a room to depict their vision of what the Chelsea Hotel would look like today,’ said Stacey
After tapping artists including Blair Z, Jemima Kirke and Susie Lopez to create different rooms for models to pose in, Stacy then started curating which looks would work best in each space.
‘In certain rooms I was so inspired I actually designed some clothing to match,’ she said. ‘For instance, when Angelica Hicks showed me her bathroom design with palm tree print and coconuts, I was like, “Oh my god, I to make to silk palm print clothing to go with it.'”
The designer even enlisted Bruce Willis’ daughters Scout and Talullah to create the dinette room. The girls, along with their mother Demi Moore, were on hand to see the presentation unfold.
