‘When a woman gets dressed in the morning, my goal is for her to put something on and smile. I want her to feel good, I don’t want her to be depressed by it. I want to make her feel like 10 times better than the best version of herself.’
Stacey is a firm believer in the power of clothes in regard to mood and confidence.
‘I’ve always thought that when a girl puts on a great dress or a perfectly fitting pant, she just feels better. Like no one ever woke up and said I feel great in sweatpants.’
Mood booster: ‘I’ve always said that even through the darkest moments in fashion, clothes are supposed to uplift,’ said Stacey
Like what you have on: ‘When a woman gets dressed in the morning, my goal is for her to put something on and smile. I want her to feel good, I don’t want her to be depressed by it. I want to make her feel like 10 times better than the best version of herself’
Color also has an effect on mood. ‘It’s uplifting,’ said Stacey. ‘When you put on neon, you’re like “my day just got a little better.”
While Stacey’s collection is very bold, she believes that there’s something for everyone and even the simplest dresser can wear sequin. ‘A little sparkle can go a long way.’
‘Try an embellished tank top under a black suit or a sequin booty. Throw those on with jeans and a t-shirt and you’re ready to go out.’
For fall 2018, Stacey’s beautiful collection is a juxtaposition of rock-n-roll and romance.

‘I wanted the show theme to be able to tell a story about messages that are important to women right now,’ said Stacey.
‘I’m like “ok girls this is what we’re going to wear in fall, but what are we thinking about?”
‘And to me right now, it’s women’s Bill of Rights, the concept of equal rights, education, equal pay. All of these things are so important in the world right now and we need to inspire women to come together and work together to make them stick and make things change.
To get her message across, she turned the event space into the University of alice + olivia, complete with libraries and classrooms.
