Alison Hammond’s hunky landscape gardener pal is reportedly a ‘changed man’ after he was allegedly previously arrested on two separate occasions for drug offences.
It comes after it emerged This Morning presenter Alison, 48, was in a ‘secret relationship’ with the labourer, named Ben Hawkins.
Former Big Brother star Alison’s green-fingered friend was allegedly jailed for driving under the influence of cocaine and for dealing cannabis.
According to The Sun on Sunday, sources say Ben was also sent to prison for attacking a taxi driver.
One told the publication: ‘Ben was full of bravado and quite brash. He’s in a far happier place now.’

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Alison for comment.
Alison is said to have employed the hunky labourer to tend to the plot at her West Midlands home two years ago, with the pair hitting it off at the time.
According to The Sun, Alison, who is set to host the Baftas with actor Richard E. Grant this Sunday, were seen arriving at Ben’s family home on Monday at around 10.30am.
The newspaper states that Alison remained in her silver Mercedes while Ben went into the property, with the TV star joining him a few minutes later.
It is claimed they were then spotted together again on Valentine’s Day.
A pal told the publication: ‘They love to hang out and have been for meals and down to the pub.
‘They’re both down to earth and get on like a house on fire.
‘She makes him laugh and Alison thinks it’s cute he still lives with his parents.’

Alison revealed she was ‘off the market’ in May last year when her This Morning co-star Dermot O’Leary, 49, let it slip that she had a boyfriend on air.
At the time, Dermot said to Alison: ‘You’re not available anymore, but if you were, jeez what a catch!’
Alison replied: ‘What do you mean I’m not available? I’m available!’
After the presenters went back and forth debating her relationship status, Alison teased: ‘Is there someone in my life?’, to which Dermot remarked, ‘I think so!’
A beaming Alison then joked that her co-host had ‘told the whole world’.
The duo then erupted into laughter before Alison told ITV viewers: ‘I have got somebody guys, I’m off the market, I’m so sorry guys!’
The following month, ex reality star Alison revealed she was happier than ever with her secret boyfriend.

The 76th annual film awards ceremony is set to take place at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall on Sunday, with actor Richard E. Grant, 65, compèring the show.
Alison said her ‘dream job’ had come true as her part of the BBC One show will be about ‘the glitz and glamour’ behind the scenes and gossip.

She added: ‘So it’s literally everything that you kind of want to see at an award ceremony that you never get to see, it’s a new concept, which I think everyone’s going to absolutely love.’
The star also said: ‘My challenge is to watch all of the films before the big night on the 19th. So that is a big challenge, but I’m enjoying it.
‘I’m trying not to fall asleep in any of the movies but it’s hard, you know, when you’ve been working all day long.’
