  • On TikTok she said all Aussies organise kitchen drawers the exact same way

A young woman has left thousands in hysterics after pointing out the one thing all Australian kitchens have in common.

Holly said all Aussie households organise their kitchen drawers the exact same way and shared an amusing video on TikTok.

In the clip she added the text: ‘The one thing I took away from my Aussie upbringing.’

The top drawer is always filled with cutlery, followed by other cooking utensils in the second, baking paper and aluminium foil in the third and other items in the bottom drawer.

While the video resonated with thousands, others argued the bottom drawer is reserved for storing tea towels.

Thousands of Australians are only just realising they arrange kitchen drawers the exact same way. The top drawer is always filled with cutlery (right)

How do Australians organise kitchen drawers?

Top drawer – cutlery

Second drawer – cooking utensils

Third drawer – baking paper, glad wrap, aluminium foil OR tea towels

Bottom drawer – Tea towels and other items such as napkins and batteries

Holly also used the perfect audio from an episode of The Kardashians that begins with Kris Jenner saying ‘look at this’.

The video quickly went viral exceeding more than 2.5million views with thousands agreeing to the drawer sequence.

‘Why are all Aussie draws the same,’ one person wrote – and this comment itself was liked by over 42,000 people.

Holly added: ‘t’s a generational gift that is passed down.’

‘How does everyone have the exact same order omg,’ another asked, a third added: ‘Wait you’re telling me other countries don’t do this?’

Others said the bottom drawer is strictly reserved for towels.

‘Being triggered because there’s no tea towel drawer,’ one person wrote.

Another added: ‘Tea towels stuffed under the baking paper in third drawer. Or just chuck them on top of the batteries and paper in the fourth.’

Many also wondered how people in other countries arrange their kitchen drawers.

‘What does everyone else do??’ one person asked.
