The wife of an All Blacks rugby star has revealed the disgusting criticism he receives from fans.

World Cup-winner Julian Savea, 28, was released from his lucrative contract with mega-rich French club Toulon and his lacklustre performances were slammed by outspoken team president Mourad Boudjellal on Sunday.

Savea’s wife Fatima, 24, shared some examples of the vile comments from Toulon fans unhappy with the player’s poor form – including one telling Savea ‘I hope your mum will get cancer soon as possible’.

Mrs Savea shared a screenshot of comments made on her Valentine’s Day Instagram post of the couple on their wedding day.

‘Absolutely disgusted by this s**t,’ she said.

The same commenter said Toulon fans would ‘spit and boo’ the player, telling him he had ‘more boobs than your wife fatman’.

Savea was outplayed in his team’s 19-10 loss to rivals Agen on Sunday, and an incensed Boudjellal told RMC radio he would ‘apologise’ if he was the hulking winger.

‘I’m going to ask for a DNA test. They must have swapped him on the plane (when he joined from New Zealand),’ Boudjellal said.

‘If I were him I would apologise and go back to my home country. I told him he was released and he was no longer welcome at Toulon. He has got a year left on his contract. He can do what he wants.

‘His identical twin brother looks very similar to him … we will have at least learnt that certain physical similarities are very striking. Sometimes, some players come for the wrong reasons.’

In November, Mrs Savea tweeted details of her husband being involved in a car crash while driving home from a game.

Savea flipped his car while driving, and his wife emphasised that he was simply tired and had not been drinking alcohol.

The hulking 1.92m, 103kg Savea was hailed as the next Jonah Lomu during his impressive All Blacks career which peaked with a World Cup-winners medal in 2015.

He joined Toulon in 2018, signing a massive contract estimated to be worth more than $1million per season.

Savea was expected to help the star-studded team dominate the French Top 14 competition.

Instead, Toulon have lost 10 games this season and are languishing near the bottom of the league table.

At the time he signed for Toulon, Savea admitted money was ’80 per cent’ of the reason he chose to leave New Zealand.

Wife Fatima travelled to France with Savea and the couple’s baby daughter Jude.
