Local Matt Maca said he was dropped home by a friend early on Sunday morning and saw damaged cars everywhere.

Mr Maca told the Herald Sun a number of the impacted vehicles belonged to guests attending a house-warming party on the street.

‘Straight after the crash, I spoke with a few people whose cars were hit and they said they were hosting a house-warming and had only moved to the street a month or so ago,’ he said.

He added: ‘I’ve been told they were having a race down the road, easily over 100km/h, I mean a car has been moved 20-30m from where it was parked into someone’s front lawn,’ Mr Maca said.

‘There’s cars missing wheels, and the entire back of others ripped off, so they’ve pretty much gone janga on all the cars.’

Another resident said it was as if the street had been ‘picked up, shuffled around, and dumped everywhere’.

‘Someone could’ve walked out seen their vehicle and had a heart attack, I know I would, seeing your car in bits and pieces and strewn all over the road,’ they added.
