‘Is this genuine?’ Amanda Holden confuses viewers as her ‘nan’ Myrtle moves in on new E4 series… but it’s actually Leigh Francis
Amanda Holden had TV viewers amused and confused by her new show The Holden Girls: Mandy & Myrtle which aired on E4 on Tuesday.
The ‘documentary’ series shows the Britain’s Got Talent judge’s relationship with her ‘nan’ who is actually Leigh Francis, although his identity is yet to be confirmed.
In a clip from the programme, Amanda is seen telling the camera she has been worried about her nan lately.

She said:’I’ve been really worried about my nan every since my granddad Derick died.
‘It was really important to bring her down here and make her feel like part of the family again.’
Amanda’s ‘nan’ then comes on screen and asks viewers? ‘Do you want to see some photos of Mandy?’
She then pulled out a photo of Amanda from her first marriage to Les Dennis and said: ‘There she is, married to Les. Remember Les? I liked Les. He’d have everyone laughing as soon as he walked into a room.’

Amanda’s nan seems to have a less fond view of her husband Chris Hughes though, simply saying: ‘There’s her current husband Chris.’
Speaking to the camera, Amanda added: ‘My husband Chris, he has decided not to be in this documentary.’
While Chris doesn’t participate, Amanda’s daughters Lexie, 15, and Hollie, nine, are seen spending time with their ‘nan’.
