Amateur chef is branded ‘amazing’ as she reveals how to make a Full English breakfast overnight in the slow cooker (and no oil is needed)

A savvy amateur chef has been praised online after revealing she made a traditional British fry-up without having to stand over a hot stove.

The anonymous woman, believed to be from the UK, took to Facebook group Slow Cooker Recipe & Tips, and posted a mouth-watering photograph of the much-loved breakfast.

She revealed how the ingredients were placed in a slow cooker overnight for a total of nine hours – saying that the breakfast, which consisted of baked beans, sausages, mushrooms and tomato, ‘went down a treat’ in her household.

Many were quick to praise the ‘brilliant idea’ – and admitted they had been inspired to try the handy hack out for themselves.

Alongside a photograph of the Full English, the woman in question penned: ‘Done this at mine last night.’

‘Was lush! Went down a treat in my house this morning. No water or oil, just put straight in.’

‘Turned on low overnight for around nine hours. No browning off needed, everything you see came out this way.’

‘Now I have chicken chow mein cooking in it for later.’

Slow cooker meals have proven popular in the past year, with over 200,000 participants joining the Facebook group to share their impressive dishes.

The breakfast post quickly racked up over 200 likes, with many confessing they will be giving the ‘great idea’ a go for themselves.

‘Wow that’s amazing. Looks great,’ praised one, while a second enthused: ‘I tried this last night and was brilliant. I really enjoyed the slow cooked bacon!’

A third added: ‘OMG that looks amazing. Going to try that for sure.’

Other meals that have proven popular within the online slow cooker community include chili con carne, sticky toffee pudding and pasta.
