Amber Tamblyn showed off her body on social media on Tuesday, but it was for a good cause.
The 40-year-old actress, who has signaled she is ready to go on strike with her fellow actors if a deal can not be made with Hollywood studios, shared a topless snap from her first ever mammogram.
The You Hurt My Feelings actress posted a full body photo of herself just after having the test.
Her manicured hands featuring bright red nail polish were strategically placed across her chest.
The Listening in the Dark author showed off her curves wearing skinny jeans and a black belt.

‘Today in our newsletter, I wrote about putting my t**s to the test by getting my first ever mammogram and how to find a little bit of humor in cancer screenings,’ The Usuals actress penned next to the photo.
‘Shoutout to my amazing mammographer, Laura, for the exam, and for kindly agreeing to snap this picture.’
Amber shared the medical worked told her, ‘This is a first for me!’ to which Amber humorously replied, ‘Me too, Laura. Me too.’
In her newsletter, the Inside Amy Schumer actress revealed that breast cancer is now ‘considered by many to be a young person’s disease.’
She shared a link explaining ‘breast cancer is the most common malignancy in adolescent and young adult women ages 15 to 39 years, accounting for 30% of cancers among this population.’
Shortly after posting the photo, pal Amanda Seyfried wrote, ‘This is the right move. I’ll follow suit.’
Writer and producer Eliza Clark, who worked with Amber on Y: The Last Man, shared affection for her pal. ‘God I love you (and those tay-tas).’

Another reminded everyone that breast cancer is not just a disease for women.
‘I’ve had my first mammogram last year, and I’m a guy,’ he wrote.
‘Thankfully, the pressure I’ve felt in my chest was nothing, but I do not regret doing it. It’s best to know, even if that means having to fight the damn machine to get a proper scan in!’
One fan suggested The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants star use the photo for her Christmas cards this year, while another posted the complimentary, ‘ Girl are you trying to set the internet on fire. Calm down! Lol P.S. I’m glad you got your boobies tested.’
