If you’re a fan of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos in the U.S., then one American man has recommended avoiding them at all costs in Europe.
Justin English uploaded a clip to his TikTok account detailing his disastrous chip-eating experience while he was traveling through Amsterdam.
In the video, which has been viewed more than 380,000 times and is captioned ‘0/10 do not recommend,’ Justin warns viewers that the spicy snack tastes completely different on the two continents.
He explains that he purchased a bag of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos at Amsterdam airport and the first big difference he noted was the color of the small corn-cheese sticks.
Recalling the shade he saw, Justin tells viewers: ‘So I buy, go and sit down, open up the bag and they are orange. There is no excuse for that.

‘That bright red dye is legal to use in the EU.’
With his ‘hopes waning,’ Justin then gave the bag of Cheetos a try, only to be bitterly disappointed.

With his anger escalating, the content creator continues: ‘Tangy BBQ… not a spice in sight.’
In a bid to show how unspicy the chips were, Justin said he proceeded to rub his eyes with chip dust all over his fingers and they ‘did not sting.’
‘Literally the biggest food disappointment in my life,’ he vented.
On top of not being ‘flamin’ hot or spicy,’ Justin said the BBQ flavoring hurt his stomach and gave him ‘the runs,’ so he had to throw the bag away.
‘That is the last thing I want before getting on a three and a half hour flight,’ he said of the alleged digestive issues caused by the snack.

Concluding his rant, the content creator said that he ‘shouldn’t have expected much’ and set his expectations ‘so high’ for a country that sells ketchup and peanut Cheetos.
Justin’s video has garnered hundreds of comments since he uploaded, with some viewers complaining of similar differences with their snacks overseas.
One commenter wrote: ‘European Takis broke my spirit.
‘First thing I did after three months away was get a bag of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos and Dunkin’ coffee the second I landed in an American airport.’
Another viewer mused: ‘When I lived in Dublin and bought spicy chips, bit into them, and it was sweet… was ready to go insane.’
Many commenters said they understood Justin’s crazed reaction, with one writing: ‘I’d be breaking down crying.’
