Amy Robach returns to Instagram nine months after scandalous affair with T.J. Holmes upended their TV careers

Amy Robach has returned to Instagram nine months after she deactivated it amid her scandalous affair with her ABC co-worker T.J. Holmes, which was exclusively revealed by DailyMail.com.

The 50-year-old journalist — who’s in talks to join a new network — took to the platform on Monday to share a single black and white photo of two sets of limbs.

The two people in the picture — presumably her and Holmes, 46 — wore matching Nike running sneakers as they sat on a porch.

The post, shared with her 588,000 followers, included the caption: ‘#nycmarathon2023.’

Amy added two emojis of runners — a Black male and a female with long, yellow hair.

The comments on the post were disabled, and it marks Robach’s first post since November 24, 2022.

One of the people in the snapshot wore light-colored camouflage leggings, while the other donned a black pair.

It’s no secret that the two former anchors have bonded over their love of hitting the pavement as runners.

Earlier this year they participated in the New York City Half Marathon and last year they ran the 2022 NYC Marathon.

The social media upload comes months after the duo vacated their jobs at ABC following an internal investigation into their relationship.

‘After several productive conversations with Amy and T.J. about different options, we all agreed it’s best for everyone that they move on from ABC News.

‘We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions,’ a representative for the network said in a February 2023 statement.

Prior to the firing, the duo had been taken off the air while their employer decided how to handle their bombshell relationship.

In July, DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that Robach is in talks to ink a million-dollar deal with NewsNation.

The potential hire has ruffled the feathers of her future colleagues, who have voice concern that the network will be seen as a ‘dumping ground’ for disgraced anchors.

‘First Chris Stirewalt then Chris Cuomo and now Amy!’ one employee told DailyMail.com. ‘It doesn’t do our reputation any good.’

The source added, ‘It makes it look like we are a dump for people who can’t get a bigger and better job elsewhere.’
