Bocelli revealed in the past that his parents were advised to abort him because doctors predicted the future famous singer would be born with a disability.

It was immediately apparent at birth that Bocelli had poor eyesight and he was diagnosed with congenital glaucoma.

The condition would eventually lead to Bocelli’s love for the music that would later make him so famous.

‘When I was five my mother discovered that the only way to comfort me with my glaucoma, was to play classical music on the record player,’ he told The Daily Telegraph in 2010.
