Andrea Corr, 47, showcases her toned physique in a tiny bikini on the beach in Barbados

Andrea Corr showcased her sensational figure in a tiny bikini as she enjoyed a winter holiday in Barbodos on Sunday. 

The Irish singer, 47, walked along the beach in the sunshine filled Bridgetown in a black and orange stringy two piece. 

She walked in the azure blue waves, as she let her raven tresses flow behind her before tying them in a low ponytail. 

Andrea kept the sun at bay by donning black sunglasses and she held her phone in her hand. 

Barbados is a favourite holiday destination for Andrea and she regularly makes trips there around the festive period.

It comes after Andrea previously reflected on the ‘devastating’ five miscarriages that she suffered in a bid to become a mother.

‘It is a very lonely place to be… nobody knows about what is not visibly there.’

Andrea is mother to Jean, seven, and Brett Jr, five, and revealed that when she suffered miscarriages later in life, having her children around helped with the grief.

The singer told the Daily Mail’s You magazine she was eager to become a mother after the couple tied the knot and experienced ‘a lot of suffering in silence’.

Silence: Andrea, who has since welcomed two children with husband Brett Desmond, added that she was forced to suffer in silence as she did not tell many people about her miscarriages (pictured with Brett in 2009) 

She said: ‘Every time, no matter how often it happens, as soon as you discover you’re pregnant, you so quickly go into the mode of hoping and dreaming for this child – and then suddenly it’s all gone.

‘Every time I’d feel so sad for a life that wasn’t there any more and also really frightened that this was it. That I’d always miscarry.’

Andrea detailed the painful time in her new memoir Barefoot Pilgrimage which she insisted is not a ‘pop star’s autobiography’.

Andrea is one fourth of Irish band The Corrs with her older siblings Jim, 57, Sharon, 51 and Caroline, 48, and has sold more than 40million records worldwide.
