Andy Cohen addresses rumor Teresa Giudice is LEAVING The Real Housewives Of New Jersey

After a report that The Real Housewives Of New Jersey has been put ‘on pause’ Andy Cohen is addressing the rumor that Teresa Giudice is leaving the series.

The 54-year-old Bravo boss talked about the whispers that the 51-year-old television personality is moving on from the reality series on his radio show SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live on Thursday.

He dished on a conversation he had with Teresa after filming Watch What Happens Live earlier this week as Andy explained: ‘There are people that I mention in the book that I’m waiting to hear what their reaction is. 

‘Like last night, Teresa said, “I need to talk to you about some things that are in the book.” And I said, “OK.” And I guess there was a moment at the last reunion where I have a conversation with Teresa, and I don’t know exactly what I wrote in there, but it seemed to me that she was done with the show.’

Andy just released his third autobiography titled The Daddy Diaries: The Year I Grew Up. 

He continued: ‘I believe that I said that to her. And we had a conversation off-stage. She’s like, “you know, I didn’t quit the show at the last reunion.” I go, “that’s not what I said.” 

‘Now I believe, of course it’s been picked up in the quote press as maybe saying “Teresa Giudice was gonna quit,” or “Andy Cohen thought she quit” or something. But I just thought she was done and over it after the last reunion.’

Teresa has starred on all 13 seasons of RHONJ which premiered in May 2009 so no doubt it would be a massive loss but the good news is that she cleared the air with the Bravo exec.

Andy concluded: ‘And I believe I said something to her, and I think I maybe even said, “I don’t know, maybe you should step away. What do you think?” 

‘And I do remember, and this isn’t in the book, a week later I got a long text from her saying, “I’m not leaving the show and I never wanna leave the show,” basically. So she and I hashed that out’

On Tuesday it was reported that the Real Housewives of New Jersey reality TV series has been put ‘on pause.’

The future of the Bravo show is currently at a standstill due to the feud between Teresa Giudice, 50, and her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga, 44, according to Page Six. 

The women — who screamed at each other on Tuesday’s season finale —  are said to be ‘legitimately estranged’ according to sources, with the network unsure on how to proceed.

None of the cast mates have been offered contracts for the next season according to the publication, and nobody has been fired at this time. There is currently no date for Season 14 to begin filming. 

Giudice and Gorga had a huge argument while filming the season 13 finale because of rumors that Melissa cheated on her husband — Teresa’s brother Joe Gorga — and kissed longtime friend Nick Barrotta. Their spat caused Melissa and Joe to skip Teresa’s wedding to husband Luis ‘Louie’ Ruelas.  

According to insiders filming was set to resume in June following Giudice’s wedding to Ruelas and the upcoming Season 13 reunion.

However, the showrunners reportedly informed the cast that filming would not be taking place.

In fact, the last update the cast received was that filming might not even begin until 2024. 

‘No official decisions on Season 14 have been made as the finale, Teresa and Louie’s wedding special and the reunion episodes have yet to air,’ an insider added. 

Due to the pause many of the women have started to plan out their summer vacations. 

Insiders say that opinions on the pause are divided, with some women worried about taking a financial hit due to not filming, and others happy about a break.

Season 13 of the reality show, which is still currently airing, stars Giudice, Gorga, Jennifer Aydin, Margaret Josephs, Danielle Cabral, Dolores Catania and Rachel Fuda. 

The publication also noted that the Season 13 reunion – which was filmed last month — was rough, and that Giudice was ‘completely unhinged’ and ‘out of control’ during the sit-down.

A source added she was ‘nastier than ever’ and ‘cursing’ a lot. 

Following the reunion host Andy Cohen admitted he ‘lost his s**t’ at Teresa during the heated episode – but later apologized.

‘The level of, I won’t even say vitriol, I will say, hate Teresa and Melissa [have] … I mean the gloves are off,’ the Bravo personality, 54, recalled on an episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live.

‘I’ve never seen anything like it, and the way the two of them were going back and forth,’ he added. 

‘There was a moment where I turned to Teresa — I apologized to her later — I didn’t yell at her, but I think I lost my s***t with her in a way that I haven’t, maybe, ever,’ he said.

The Watch What Happens Live host didn’t go into detail about what exactly happened but he alluded to the fact that there was a ‘ton of new allegations’ and ‘new material to get into’ and Teresa would not stop bickering with her sister-in-law.

Meanwhile on the season finale Melissa declared that she wasn’t going to Giudice’s wedding after they screamed at each other.

The reality star yelled at Teresa at an Irish-themed party after learning that a cheating rumor about her was still circulating.

Show newcomer Danielle Cabral, 37, finally shared the rumor with Melissa after learning about it from Jennifer Aydin, 46, during a group trip to Ireland to celebrate Teresa’s imminent wedding to Luis.

‘I’ve already heard this story, and do you wanna know how?,’ Melissa said.

‘Tell me,’ Danielle said.

‘Through my husband. Do you wanna know how I heard it through my husband? ‘Cause his sister called him over to his house secretly, without me, to tell him this story behind my back,’ Melissa said referencing her husband Joe.

In a confessional, Melissa explained how six months ago Joe was summoned by Teresa and Louie because they heard a rumor about her and believed it so much they had to call him over.

‘How dare you tell my husband that I would cheat on him,’ Melissa said to the camera.

As the episode resumed at the party, Melissa told Danielle, ‘Pretty f***ed up sister-in-law I have, isn’t it?’

Melissa told Danielle that they should have told her and Joe about the rumor and noted that she’s been accused of being a stripper and gold digger and ‘doing stuff in parking lots before.’

Heated: Following the filming of the upcoming seas 13 reunion host Andy Cohen admitted he ‘lost his s**t’ at Teresa. ‘The level of, I won’t even say vitriol, I will say, hate Teresa and Melissa [have] … I mean the gloves are off’

‘I had no intention on confronting her about this ’cause Joe doesn’t believe it, it’s bulls***, and because I wanted to let her have a peaceful six months leading up to her wedding,’ Melissa said in a confessional.

Melissa who previously admitted she was considering boycotting the wedding told Danielle that ‘half the reason’ Joe can’t look Teresa in the eyes was ‘because she called him over to her house that day.’

Later Joe in a confessional said they told him about the rumor and Louie suggested there were ‘multiple men’.

‘I’m sitting there as they’re telling me, basically, to, like, leave Melissa. Then a couple days after, Gia calls me up. And she’s like, “You know, I heard what happened. We just think that you can do better. Mommy thinks so, we all do.” So I said to myself, am I around people that love me or people that wanna hurt me? It’s a f***ed up situation,’ Joe said referencing Teresa’s eldest daughter Gia.
