Andy Lee reveals deal-breaker before signing on the dotted line for another season of The Hundred


Andy Lee is set to host the second season of his comedy show The Hundred.

And on Tuesday, the 40-year-old revealed the one non-negotiable condition he had in exchange for returning for another season.

Andy told Nine Entertainment, he informed producers the show had to be filmed in his hometown of Melbourne.

‘I pretty much said I’m not doing it again if it’s not in Melbourne,’ he said.

‘Nothing against Sydney but it’s nice to be with my partner and my dog,’ Andy added.

‘Even before we started the first season, I said if it’s ever going to happen again, I’m going to be in Melbourne for it because I want to be close to my family.’

The Hundred with Andy Lee is set to return to Australian TV screens on Tuesday.

The network also revealed Andy will be joined by celebrity guests including Sophie Monk, Hamish Blake, Tom Gleeson, Tommy Little, Nazeem Hussain, Abbie Chatfield, Anne Edmonds and Senator Jacqui Lambie.

The Hundred sees regular Australian polled on a variety of issues via Zoom, with three comedy panellists battling it out each episode to see who knows Australia best.

Lee joked in a statement, ‘I asked Australia whether they wanted the show to come back and it came back with 95% “YES”. I can only assume that 5% worked for rival networks.’

It comes after Andy recently enjoyed a romantic stay at the upscale Qualia resort on Hamilton Island with girlfriend Rebecca Harding.

Andy and Bec have been dating since 2014.
