Andy Lee reveals his recent battle with a haemorrhoid was actually a ‘lemon-sized’ abscess

Twenty four hours ago, he divulged far too much information about his battle with a persistent haemorrhoid.

But on Thursday, Andy Lee revealed his unfortunate affliction was actually a misdiagnosed ‘lemon-sized’ abscess – or a collection of pus built up within the tissue of the body.

And updating his medical situation with Triple M’s Jane Kennedy and Mick Malloy, the 37-year-old confessed his model girlfriend Rebecca Harding was on ‘drainage duty’ for nine hours.

‘Bec was on the front line on drainage duty,’ he revealed, ‘and she’s gone where no girlfriend should ever have to go.’

Explaining the misdiagnosis, Andy continued: ‘It was an abscess which is essentially a big pimple that got to the size of a good size lemon. It burst but it took nine hours to draw it.’

Much to the hosts’ queasy reactions, they both said the comedian owed the beauty ‘big time’, to which he agreed, calling her ‘a legend!’

On Wednesday, Andy spoke to the same hosts about what he thought was ‘the biggest haemorrhoid you have ever seen in your life’ while promoting new TV show True Story with Hamish Blake.   

An amused Andy then went on to claim he would never have openly admitted to the condition if he was single.

‘If I didn’t have a girlfriend there would be no way I was admitting to the haemorrhoid,’ he said.

Together since 2015 and going strong after a short separation in 2016, Andy revealed last week he was planning to propose to his model girlfriend, Rebecca Harding.   

Chatting with KIIS 101.1’s Jase and PJ, he also confessed he won’t propose until she tells him her enter score, the score she received when she finished high school.

‘Bec has never told me her enter score, what she got when she finished year 12. Never told me or told anyone.’

He continued: ‘I said to her, “If you want to be proposed to, we can’t have any secrets”.’
