Angel Reese’s absence from the opening night of the WNBA All-Star weekend hasn’t gone unnoticed despite the star rookie landing in Phoenix on Friday after watching an NBA Summer League game, a day earlier.

The 22-year-old forward posted a selfie on her Instagram Story with text reading ‘All Star barbieee’ after touching down in Arizona, as she also shared a snap of her No. 5 All-Star jersey on a hanger.

But, during the Rockets-Timberwolves matchup in Las Vegas on Thursday night, Reese hit back at a since-deleted tweet slamming her decision by responding: ‘it’s ok babe. i’m minding the business that PAYS me.’
