Ange Postecoglou has sensationally called out a traitor in Tottenham’s midst, vowing to rat out an injury news ‘leak’ inside the club.

It comes after reports of striker Wilson Odobert’s hamstring problem were leaked before their 1-1 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa league on Thursday night.

Postecoglou said: ‘There’s no doubt we’ve got a leak inside the club. I don’t know why. It doesn’t help us.

‘We’ve narrowed it down. I’ve got a fair idea where it’s coming from. It certainly doesn’t help us on game days.

‘It’s sometimes half-truths and sometimes more. You’d like to think that everyone within our camp is working with us rather than against us.’

The reports had claimed that Odobert was sent for scans and he proceeded to remain on the bench for the entirety of the game. Postecoglou confirmed on Friday that he is ‘ok’ and trained as normal.

Spurs languish in 14th place in the Premier League after a disappointing season, with glory in the Europa League their only chance to end the season positively.

And they didn’t get the result they were hoping for on Thursday night as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Eintracht Frankfurt at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the first leg of their quarter-final tie.

The north London club fell behind early on when Hugo Ekitike found the net but hit back midway through the first half through Pedro Porro.

Spurs then hit the woodwork on two occasions while Frankfurt keeper Kaua Santos also had a fine night in goal.

‘I’m resigned to the fact that the football gods have got their eyes elsewhere this year,’ Postecoglou said in a post-match press conference.

‘They’re obviously busy with other clubs and other managers so whatever we get, we’re going to have to do it without them this year.

The second leg takes place next Thursday in Germany while his side will first travel to Wolves in the Premier League on Sunday.
