Angry LeBron James clashes with Serbia’s Bogdan Bogdanovic during USA’s nail-biting Olympics semi-final in Paris

An agitated LeBron James clashed with Serbia’s Bogdan Bogdanovic on Thursday during USA basketball’s nail-biting semi-final win in the Olympics.

James and the Americans trailed by as much as 17 before clawing their way back in the fourth quarter and eventually winning 95-91.

But the Lakers star became frustrated at one point when Bogdanovic, who plays for the NBA’s Hawks, hit a three-pointer when Serbia were in the lead.

The two players exchanged some angry words before being directed to their respective benches.

While one short clip of the incident does not show why James specifically became irritated, Bogdanovic could be seen throughout the game jawing with former Team USA star (and close friend of James) Carmelo Anthony, who was sitting courtside.

Bogdanovic even mimicked Anthony’s signature ‘three to the dome’ celebration in front of the former Nuggets and Knicks star, with the former nailing a trio of three-pointers in the game and finishing with 20 points.

James later taunted Bogdanovic as well, giving him the ‘too small’ gesture after rising up to hit a jumper over him (while getting fouled).

However, they later appeared to make amends after the game as they shared a hug on the court.

The USA ultimately outscored their opponents 32-15 in a rampant fourth quarter and will now compete for a gold medal against France on Saturday.

The ageless 39-year-old James finished the game with a triple-double as he scored 16 points, dished out 10 assists and grabbed 12 rebounds against the Nikola-Jokic led squad.

The Serbian big man and three-time NBA MVP had 17 points, 11 assists and five rebounds as his team faltered down the stretch.

While the former played a huge role in the win, Steph Curry was undoubtedly the USA’s star man on the night as he notched 36 points, eight rebounds, and two assists.

The USA will now turn their attention to France, after the hosts beat Germany 73-69 in the last four.

The Victor Wembanyama and Rudy Gobert-led squad will look to grab their first Olympic gold medal in basketball – men’s or women’s
