‘Next time you are packing up your suitcase and have an evening dress or something else you need to keep crease free, make sure you use this hack,’ she said.

She suggested holding on to old plastic laundry sleeves or going to a laundromat and asking for one for free.

She placed a long evening dress into the sleeve with the hanger on, as you’d collect it from the dry cleaners.

‘What you’re going to do is put your garment inside the bag and you’re going to just start just folding gently from the bottom upwards,’ she said.

The mum explained that the trapped air inside the sleeve makes it act like ‘bubble wrap’ and prevents creasing.

Using this hack will ensure your clothes are ‘ready to wear as soon as you arrive at your destination’.

‘I do it every single time I go away. It’s a complete game changer,’ she said.

How to pack your suitcase so clothes remain crease free:

* Place your garment inside the sleeve with the hanger on, as you would collect it from the dry cleaners

* Start folding the sleeve gently from the bottom upwards

* The air will be trapped and acts like bubble wrap, keeping your garment crease free and ready to wear as soon as you arrive at your destination

Her followers loved the clever hack.

‘Oh my gosh how smart is that!’ one woman said.

‘I have been doing that for a few years, and yes it works,’ another wrote.

However, one woman wasn’t impressed with the amount of plastic waste she felt the trick would produce.
