Anna Vakili reveals she was ARRESTED for wearing skinny jeans during terrifying Iran trip

Anna Vakili has claimed she was arrested for wearing skinny jeans in public during a recent trip to Iran, where she boasts heritage from.

The Love Island star, 31, who wears tight trousers in her more conservative Instagram posts, detailed being ‘dragged’ into a police van during the terrifying ordeal.

While her family fought to save her from imprisonment, she pretended she couldn’t speak the country’s native language of Farsi before successfully being set free.

While appearing on Johnny Seifert’s Secure The Insecure podcast, the influencer explained how women can be punished for ‘wearing skirts and jeans’ since the garments are deemed to be ‘revealing’ in Iran.

She said: ‘It was really scary because I just remember all these police women grabbing me and trying to put me in the van.

‘They were saying in Farsi, “Your jeans are too tight and it’s not Islamic,” and they were trying to push me into the car.

‘My auntie was grabbing me and pulling me away and saying, “She’s English, she’s from England, she doesn’t know.”

‘I pretended that I couldn’t speak Farsi and they let me go because I was from England and I didn’t know the laws enough.’

It comes after Anna spoke out about the secret abortion she had at the age of 21.

The TV personality, who claims her parents banned from sex education at school, says she fell pregnant after having unprotected sex.

She explained on her Sisters in the City podcast: ‘I feel really scared to open up about this, but I think it’s important to do it because I learnt from my own mistake, and if other people can learn from my mistake then it’s the best thing to come from this.

‘When I was younger – about 21, I was having unprotected sex – I don’t know what I was thinking. I wasn’t thinking, and I ended up pregnant.

‘Obviously I was really young and I wasn’t ready, and I had an abortion.  

‘At that age you don’t think what can happen and I have deep regrets that I did end up pregnant.

‘I didn’t wish to be pregnant and have to get an abortion – I don’t like that. So if you can avoid that – do.’

Anna said she was ‘traumatised’ when she was pulled out of her sex education class at school because her parents did not sign a consent form.

She added that she missed out on learning about the importance of safe sex.

‘Ever since then I’ve practiced safe sex and I’m now on the coil,’ she continued.

‘In school the teachers sent a letter home for our parents to sign to say if it was ok for us to sit in sex education, and my parents didn’t sign it and it was the most embarrassing thing ever because the teacher took me out of the class when they did sex education.

‘I was the only person, apart from one other Asian or Middle Eastern person. I’ll never forget that – it was so traumatising.’
