Tennis superfan Anna Wintour traveled from New York to Melbourne this week to watch her friend Serena Williams face off in the Australian Open.
Wintour, 69, is an outspoken fanatic of the sport, and never misses a chance to cheer on her favorite players: Serena and Roger Federer.
An on January 21, she was at Melbourne Park to see Serena, 37, beat Simona Halep of Romania, propelling her to the quarter-finals and getting her one step closer to tying the record for most Grand Slam title wins.

Wintour’s outfit for the sunny summer weather down under was predictably feminine and formulaic.
The Vogue boss wore one of her signature floral dresses, a long-sleeve yellow number with the sleeves rolled up.
In addition to her ever-present sunglasses, she added a multi-color necklace and her VIP pass for the event.
Wintour appeared to be having a wonderful time, smiling and clapping as Serena had a 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 victory against ‘the world’s No. 1 player,’ as Halep was announced.
She had prime seats for the sporting event, too, sitting front and center in Serena’s section with her sister Venus and their mom Oracene Price.
Wintour regularly sits with them to watch Serena play, and did so most recently at the US Open in August.

A tennis player herself — she regularly gets up early to play before work — Wintour also frequently pops up at other tournaments.
In her 2014, 73 Questions video for Vogue, she gave shout-outs to her two favorite players, saying her dream women’s doubles partner would be Serena, and her dream mixed doubles partner would be Federer.
She’s already seen Federer play at the Australian Open this week. On Sunday, she looked on as he was defeated by Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece.
She also sat with former professional tennis player Andre Agassi to watch Frances Tiafoe of the US play Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria that same day, but ran back to her hotel for an outfit change between the matches.
And on Monday, before Serena’s match, Wintour joined Federer and his wife for lunch.
The fashion icon also offers her style expertise to her two favorite players. After Serena’s wedding to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, the tennis star posted a thank-you note she sent to Wintour, acknowledging her contribution.

Wintour hasn’t shared her thoughts on Serena’s outfit of choice for the Open, a green one-piece she jokingly called a ‘Serena-tard’.
The custom green Lycra look earned mixed reviews when she first wore it last week. While some griped that it was inappropriate and unflattering, many more applauded her for the bold outfit.
According to Metro, the star said: ‘We design really far in advance at Nike. I knew that I have been working really, really hard in the offseason to be incredibly fit and incredibly ready.
‘I took a year off, and, you know, just get back with still trying to get 12 months under my belt of playing, actually. I wanted to be fit. I came back.
‘Nike always wants to make an incredibly strong, powerful statement for moms that are trying to get back and get fit. That was basically it for me.’
