The sprawling Brisbane pad owned by former Queensland state premier Annastacia Palaszczuk is set to go under the hammer next month.

Situated on a clifftop in the sought-after Seventeen Mile Rocks neighbourhood, located 17km from the CBD, the chic split-level home features four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The 55-year-old, who exited the premier’s office at the end of 2023, built the stylish residence in 2006 after snapping up the land a year earlier for $260,000.

According to the listing, the estimated median price for similar-sized homes in the area is $1,357,500.

But valuation estimates show Ms Palaszczuk’s home could fetch anywhere between $1.39million and $1.77million.

The home will go to auction on Saturday, March 10.

Built on high ground overlooking a bend in the nearby Brisbane River, the abode features an entertainment patio off the main lounge area.

There’s also a second deck overlooking the backyard and a swimming pool.

Highlights include an oversized gourmet kitchen with a Caesarstone benchtop and a four-place breakfast bar.

Other features include a poolside pavilion and a large backyard.

Meanwhile, the home’s tropical-themed garden plays hosts to local birdlife including colourful lorikeets.

Add-ons include a ducted air conditioning system designed to beat Brisbane’s torrid summers.

It comes after Ms Palaszczuk was appointed to the Australia Post Board as a non-executive director.

The term is expected to last three years.

Ms Palaszczuk announced her retirement from politics in December last year after serving as state premier for eight years between 2015 and 2023.

Following her shock departure from politics, Ms Palaszczuk took a job as the international ambassador for the Smart Energy Council (SEC), an independent body that advocates for renewable energy businesses.

In 2024 it was revealed Ms Palaszczuk had hired high-profile celebrity publicist Max Markson who is tasked with building a career for her on the speaking circuit across Australia and abroad.

PR king Mr Markson has organised speaking tours for world leaders and international celebrities including Bill Clinton, Nelson Mandela and Mike Tyson.
