Anne Hathaway enjoys rare outing with husband Adam Shulman as they arrive in complementing looks at National Board of Review Awards Gala

Anne Hathaway and her husband, Adam Shulman, appeared to be in high spirits during a rare outing in New York City on Thursday.

The 41-year-old actress and the film producer, 42, were a stylish pair in complementing black ensembles as they attended the National Board Of Review Awards Gala.

She threw on a black blazer over her shoulders to keep warm in her plunging, sparkling gown as she walked into Cipriani 42nd Street with her longtime partner.

For the special occasion, the Mother’s Instinct star — who was spotted mingling with her co-star, Jessica Chastain, at the star-studded event — slipped into figure-hugging gown with sequined embroidery.

She sported shiny, black pumps as she strutted into the gala with Shulman by her side.

For an additional touch of glamour to her look, she wore dangling diamond earrings as well as some statement gemstone rings alongside her gold wedding band.

She left her chocolate brown tresses down in a voluminous, straight hairstyle and opted for a bronze makeup look teamed with a mauve pink lip.

Shulman donned a classic black suit with a satin tie and shiny dress shoes to go with Hathaway’s look.

The Devil Wears Prada alumna has been married to the jewelry designer since 2012, and they share two children together.

The pair first met through mutual friends at the Palm Springs Film Festival in April 2008.

They began dating in November of that same year in the aftermath of her breakup with her ex-con ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri.

Hathaway and Follieri dated for four years before he was arrested and charged with 15 counts of conspiracy, wire fraud and money laundering charges.

She broke off their relationship 10 days before he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to four and a half years in prison.

Five years later in February 2013, Hathaway said it was love at first sight when she met Shulman amid the chaos.

She told Harper’s Bazaar UK that she knew ‘from the second I met him that he was the love of my life’, but she admitted she ‘also knew that I couldn’t have met him at a worse time.’

After four years together, the pair got engaged in 2011.

The following year in September, they tied the knot during a traditional Jewish, intimate wedding ceremony in Big Sur, California.

The longtime couple went on to welcome sons Jonathan and Jack in 2016 and 2019, respectively.
