Anne Hathaway rocks a bright red coat at the airport in Salt Lake City after Sundance Film Festival

Anne Hathaway rocked a vibrant all-red outfit while preparing to out of Salt Lake City Airport after attending the 2023 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

While sporting an oversized jacket, a matching beanie and oversized shades, the 40-year-old actress, who spent the weekend promoting her new film Eileen, smiled at onlookers ahead of her flight home.

For her flight, the mother-of-two looked comfortable as she wore her dark brown hair in a ponytail, a pair of light-wash blue jeans and black leather combat booties.

Her latest sighting comes after gushing about the ‘level of excitement’ over Princess Diaries 3 is ‘thrilling’ during an interview at annual Sundance Film Festival.

The Ocean’s 8 star also acknowledged how it is ‘probably very frustrating’ for fans to have waited nearly two decades since the popular film franchise’s installment.

‘It’s a process that requires patience, and so everybody should consider themselves a part of the movie business now, because this is how long it actually takes to make things,’ Hathaway told People.

In November, news broke that the hotly-anticipated third film was officially underway at Disney.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Supergirl writer Aadrita Mukerji is working on the script.

Producer Debra Martin Chase, who produced each of the first two movies, is also returning to work on this film, which will be a continuation of the films and not a reboot.

In October, Hathaway previously voiced her support for a third installment in the franchise – during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

‘I would more than entertain it, I’m pulling for it,’ she said emphatically. ‘If there’s any way to get Julie Andrews involved, I think we would make it work. We would go to where she was and put a green screen behind her and just make it happen.’

Despite Anne’s desire to work with The Sound of Music star, the 87-year-old admitted earlier this year that the time for a third film featuring her has passed.

‘I think it would be too late to do it now,’ she told THR back in June. ‘There was talk of a sequel many, many years ago. But I don’t think it ever came to pass.’

She also mentioned how the director of the first two movies, Garry Marshall, passed away in 2016.

‘[For] especially me, it’s too far down the line now to go back to it,’ she said. ‘It’s a lovely thought, but I don’t think it would probably be possible.’

The Princess Diaries, released in 2001, followed Mia Thermopolis (Hathaway), an American teen who finds out she is a Princess of the fictional Genovia. Andrews played the country’s queen, Clarisse Renaldi.

The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement followed Hathaway’s character as she dealt with her responsibilities as a princess and fended off an arranged marriage.
