Anne Robinson, 72, quits ‘desperate’ Tinder after an hour

Anne Robinson has revealed she quit Tinder an hour after getting the dating app – which she branded ‘desperate’.

The 72-year-old complained that the potential matches on the app offered ‘slim pickings’ and added that she doesn’t want to date a ‘bald man with a moustache’.

The Weakest Link presenter, who has been divorced twice, boasted that only needs her red glasses to ‘pull’ a man.

Discussing her short-lived stint on Tinder, she told The Sun: ‘I don’t want to date someone bald and with a moustache. 

‘It is slim pickings out there! I would rename Tinder “desperate”. I have one particular pair of glasses, they are my red glasses and I can pull in them.

‘I promise you. You need to get red glasses to pull.’

It comes after Anne revealed she’s as strict about her me as she is when she’s hosting television, while setting up her profile.

Anne, who has already got two marriages under her belt, has explained that she won’t settle for anything less than a company CEO. 

The former Points Of View front-woman has also revealed that she champions a healthy appetite for sex as an older woman.

The Sun reports that she told them: ‘I hope all women my age are having sex, why wouldn’t they be? It’s what keeps me young.

‘I don’t have a partner at the moment, I’ve had two husbands and they’re lovely. I’m a committee of one.’

Anne had her first foray into the world of online dating when she set up a Tinder profile on Monday night’s BBC documentary Britain’s Relationship Secrets. 

She was quick to dismiss anyone holding an alcoholic beverage in their profile photo, given that Anne has had a well-documented battle with alcohol and is now teetotal.

Of one profile, she said: ‘This is Gary who’s a freelance actor, I don’t think that would bring in a big income.’

She happily investigated a gentleman working in finance, however: ‘Quick, I want to go back to the 60-year-old who’s got a job in banking.’

She added: ‘I just want a Tinder that’s CEOs and upwards.’

Anne was married to her first husband Charles Wilson from 1968 until 1973, with whom she had daughter Emma.

She married John Penrose in 1980 and they divorced in 2007.

Anne published the book Memoirs Of An Unfit Mother in 2001, about her past as a mother who battled alcoholism.
