The much anticipated I’m A Celeb All Stars series is set to hit our TV screens as soon as next year.
Presenters Ant and Dec have confirmed that they are currently filming in South Africa for the brand new spin-off of ITV hit series I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.
Revealing the exciting news on Twitter on Thursday, Ant and Dec wrote: ‘South Africaaaaaaa! That’s right, we’re filming a very special version of I’m A Celebrity in South Africa which is coming to your tellies in 2023.’

Alongside the tweet, a video showed the telly duo who spoke on some rocky terrain with some scenic mountains and water surrounding them, saying: ‘We’ve got some news’.
Describing it as the ‘worst kept secret in telly’, Dec continues: ‘We can confirm that we’re doing a very special series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! In South Africa!
‘It’s going to be your favourite celebrities from the last 20 years who are going back in to do it one more time.’
The Geordie duo – who have fronted the show since its launch in 2002 – revealed the plan is for the ITV show to head back Down Under later this year.
They also answered questions of the series returning to Australia later this year after the previous two series’ took place at Gwrych Castle in North Wales, due to travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ant asks his co-star: ‘But are we going to Australia Declan?,’ to which Dec responds, ‘Yes we are. This year we are going back to Australia. This will be on next year.’
The construction of the famous camp has begun and parts of the set will be connected by a suspended air bridge on the Blyde River Canyon in north east South Africa.

Speaking on Heart Radio on May 26 this year, Ant McPartlin, 46, told hosts Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston: ‘The plan is we’re going back to Australia. It’s got to go back to its spiritual home. Everyone wants to see a bit of sunshine at that time of year on the telly.’
With the show rumoured to hit screens on November 13, Ant and Dec got to work with filming the promos.
Declan Donnelly was seen a few weeks ago beaming alongside co-star Ant this week as he was pictured back at work for the first time since the sudden death of his older brother Dermot.
The presenter, 46, was left ‘beyond devastated’ last month after his ‘darling’ Roman Catholic priest brother Dermot Donnelly passed away aged 55 after collapsing in his Newcastle parish.
But Dec appeared to be healing from his family tragedy as he threw himself into his work while filming ‘skydiving’ scenes for a brand new I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! advert.
And it appeared ITV were pulling out all the stops for the new series as the duo were seen hooked up to harnesses and suspended by a wire as they simulated jumping out of a helicopter.
Proving that they were not afraid to do their own stunts, Ant and Dec were seen dangling in the air with a wind machine blowing at them, while crew members maneuvered the ropes holding them up.

The show was relocated during the pandemic due to strict Covid-19 travel restrictions between the UK and Australia.
In December last year, Ant and his co-star Dec Donnelly, also 46, spoke about wanting to go back to Australia, and joked they can ‘torment’ the campmates more Down Under.
Ant said: ‘I think we would like to return to Australia. We had a great time for two years in Wales – we were made to feel really welcome and at home – but its proper home is Australia, so we’d like to get back there for next year if we can.’

Dec added: ‘We can torment them more in Australia. It’s harder conditions outside and there are all sorts of creep crawlies in the camp, so it’s harder in Australia, definitely.’
The pair also gave credence to speculation that a spin-off, all-stars series would be filmed in South Africa.
Speaking on This Morning, Ant confirmed to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: ‘It’s a spin off from the main show where we’ve got ex campmates all coming together in South Africa competing with challenges and trials… shall I keep talking?’

A source previously said: ‘Fans have been crying out for a Best Of series for years, and their prayers are being answered.
‘The South African project is in no way a back-up, it’s a completely different series. It will see all of the iconic names who have made the show so popular over the years return to the campfire and battle it out to be crowned the Best Of champion.

Elsewhere during the morning of back-to-back interviews, the nation’s favourite duo spoke about their iconic Saturday Night Takeaway drag act.
Ant recalled: ‘We had loads of messages from parents saying, ‘My boy is different, he likes to dress different but he can go to school now and can do and dress as he wishes now,’ – which is great. We never expected that, we thought we’d have a bit of fun.
Dec chimed: ‘I have a new-found respect for anyone who walks in heels.’
