Ant McPartlin shares sweet snaps with Declan Donnelly and their pets to celebrate International Dog Day amid his custody battle with his ex Lisa Armstrong over beloved pooch Hurley

Ant and Dec celebrated International Dog Day on Monday by sharing a string of playful snaps with their pet pooches.

The TV duo posed with Dec’s Dachshund Rocky and Ant’s two maltipoo dogs Milo and Bumble and Hurley, the chocolate labrador he shares with his ex wife, Lisa Armstrong.

‘Dog dump (not that kind… get your mind out the gutter!) #InternationalDogDay,’ the stars captioned the Instagram carousel.

And it seems Ant and Dec’s pets are just as close as the celeb duo themselves, with the photos showing Rocky and Hurley hanging out together at the beach.

Hurley is at the centre of a custody battle between Ant McPartlin and his ex wife Lisa Armstrong.

The former couple, who were together for 23-years and married for 11, never had children but adopted the chocolate Labrador in 2013.

Lisa shares joint custody of Hurley with Ant but reports say she wants sole possession of him – something he is said to have resisted.

She has reportedly vowed to fight on for sole custody of the chocolate Labrador, who regularly features in her Instagram posts, where she refers to him as ‘Mama’s baby boy’.

Last month Lisa shared a cryptic Instagram post, claiming she had ‘healed’ after reposted a quote from @spiritualpositivity which read: ‘My side of the story doesn’t matter anymore.

‘Life happened, it hurt, I healed, but most importantly I learned who deserves a seat at my table and who will never seat again.’

In June Ant was forced to set the record straight and addressed fans’ accusations that he ‘snubbed’ Hurley in a tattoo to celebrate the birth of his son Wilder.

The presenter took to X to thank fans for their ‘kind messages’ after announcing the birth, and explained his family tree tattoo does include all three of his dog’s names.

Ant wrote: ‘Hey all, I just wanted to say thank You so much for the kind messages of love and well wishes for our baby Wilder. He’s doing great.

‘Glad you loved the tattoo as well. For all you dog lovers who asked why my beloved Hurley wasn’t on the family tree..he was!!’

‘He was just covered by our newborn. All my love, gratitude and heartfelt thanks A.’

Ant then shared a snap showing the full tattoo on his shoulder, with Hurley’s name visible on the tree design.
