Anthony Edwards’ stunned reaction to a desperation Luka Doncic three-pointer late in Tuesday’s Game 4 has gone viral – despite the Timberwolves ultimately holding on for a crucial win that prevented a Dallas sweep.
With 20.1 seconds remaining, the Mavs had the ball down six after a missed free throw from Mike Conley.
Needing a bucket – ideally a three – to realistically stay alive, the Mavs’ Doncic weaved through the Minnesota defense and chucked up a 29-footer with Edwards in his face.
The shot miraculously went in (plus a free throw being awarded for a foul on Edwards), and the T-Wolves star put his hands up in disbelief as Doncic had a chance to make it a two-point game with 13.2 seconds remaining
A picture of Edwards’ stunned, jaw-dropped reaction from that moment went viral on from Bleacher Report’s X page, registering 6,100 likes and over 333k views at the time of writing.

However, Edwards was bailed out moments later when Doncic – a 78.6 percent free throw shooter this regular season – missed the and-one, with the rebound being grabbed by Minnesota.
From there, Naz Reid sank a layup to give Minnesota a 105-100 lead and the T-Wolves notched their first win of the series – forcing a Game 5 back at home and bringing the series to 3-1.
Edwards finished the game with 29 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists, while his teammate Karl-Anthony Towns had 25 points and five rebounds.
Doncic, meanwhile had a triple-double with 28 points, 10 assists and 15 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough for Dallas to close out the series.

Kyrie Irving was held to just 16 points on 6-18 shooting.
As he warmed up before the game, Edwards – who was mic’d up on TNT’s broadcast, was heard saying ‘They better get rid of us!’
Minnesota will now host Game 5 on Thursday.
If they can win that contest and also win a Game 6 in Dallas, then Edwards and Co. would also host a Game 7.
