Usyk beat Tyson Fury on points earlier this year to become the undisputed heavyweight world champion with the WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF titles.

Usyk – who initially claimed the IBF belt following his victory over AJ – had been under pressure to face his overdue mandatory challenger Filip Hrgovic.

However, Dubois stopped Hrgovic at the start of this month to claim the IBF ‘interim’ belt and assert himself in the picture.

Usyk had initially appealed to the IBF to keep hold of his belt for the rematch with Fury in December.

However, the Ukrainian has since taken to social media to tell his followers he will be vacating the belt.

Usyk said: ‘Anthony and Daniel, listen, I know the IBF title is important to you. It’s my present to you on September 21.’

As a result, Dubois will be upgraded to become the full IBF champion with Joshua challenging him for the belt on September 21.
