Anthony Scaramucci congratulates Mario Cantone

Anthony Scaramucci tweeted his congratulations to Sex and the City star Mario Cantone for his marriage anniversary on Thursday, calling him a ‘brother from another mother’ and suggesting they get dinner.

Mario Cantone, who portrayed the 53-year-old during brief White House stint on SNL, had tweeted earlier in the day to wish his husband Jerry Dixon happy sixth anniversary.

And though Cantone’s impersonation of Scaramucci was less than flattering on SNL and The President’s show, he seems to have taken it all lightly.

Cantone didn’t respond to the Mooch’s invitation to dinner on Twitter, but did like his tweet.

On SNL Cantone looked strikingly similar to the former White House Communication’s director – and poked fun at his short-lived six official days working for the Trump administration.

And in an interview on The View many noted that the two almost looked like quibbling brothers.

Scaramucci came into the public eye over the summer when he was sanctimoniously hired by the Trump administration as the new White House Communication director – only to be fired 10 days later.

Even still, the axed Trump aide said on Wednesday that he and the President are ‘cool’.

‘I’m cool with him, I hope he’s cool with me,’ he said, before adding he believes his firing in July was akin to a business decision.

‘Hey, let me tell you something – politics is totally different than business,’ he told Yahoo News.

‘But it’s similar to business in one way – when a decision is strategically made to change management, what typically happens is other personnel go alongside the management change.’

‘I’m a very big boy. I ran two companies. I’m an entrepreneur. I had to make those types of decisions in my life. They are painful to make. And firing a friend is sometimes a painful thing to do, but if you think it’s the right thing to do for the government and therefore the country and therefore the Administration, I’m totally cool with it.’

Scaramucci says he has spoken to Trump since leaving the White House, but declined to go into details on those discussions.

‘The truth of the matter is, is that’s like attorney-client privilege,’ he said, ‘I respect the president. I sort of have a friendship with him, and we’ve had conversations. For me, you know, I just wouldn’t talk about it.’

In the meantime, Scaramucci has been drumming up his next venture.

On Monday, he unveiled the ‘Scaramucci Post’ – although it’s unclear what exactly it is.

‘You want to describe it, right? Say ”Scaramucci has absolutely no idea what he’s doing and he has absolutely no idea where The Scaramucci Post is going”,’ he told a group of reporters.

The Mooch says he will be rolling out content on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. He owns the domain ScaramucciPost.com but says he doesn’t want to do a full blown website just yet.
