Are face brushes the way of the future?

Our skin is our biggest and one of our most important organs, with many people opting for a variety of lotions and potions to look after it.

But now one of the new trends in the beauty world is facial cleansing brushes, designed to help get out the days grime from your pores.

Here, FEMAIL takes a look at some of Australia’s top facial cleansing brushes.

One of the benefits of face brushing is that it increases blood circulation to the skin and allows for improved penetration of skincare products.

These handheld devices either feature brushes that oscillate at a sonic frequency that optimises your clean, or are non-nylon brushes that channel transdermal pulsations for a deep clean.

FOREO LUNA PLAY PLUS – $75

One of the main players in the market is FOREO, a brand that was founded in 2013 and specialises in beauty and ‘well-being solutions’.

The brush is waterproof and silicone-based and is now the number one selling skincare brand in Sephora Australia, with one FOREO being sold every seven seconds.

After cleaning off your days make up you are meant to use a cleanser to aid the brush in a deep clean and it uses pulsations to purify the skin while reaching areas that are typically hard to cleanse.

‘People are realising just what an integral step cleansing devices are to the daily skincare regimen,’ explained Hannah Holmes, General Manager of FOREO Australia.

‘The LUNA Play Plus delivers over 8000 transdermal pulsations per minute, which gives pores their deepest clean and improves the absorption and efficacy of the treatment products that follow in your skincare routine.’
