For many, a tidy home equals a tidy mind.
But there’s neat and organised and then there’s something that is much more aesthetically appealing.
Recently, proud homeowners around Australia showed off snaps of their immaculately organised linen cupboards – and how they got them into that state – via an interiors Facebook group.
Many of them also shared their tips and tricks for transforming your cupboard from drab to fab.

The homeowners also shared their tips for ensuring that their linen cupboards were perfectly organised, which include placing a diffuser inside for that ‘just washed’ scent
Someone said a neat and well-ordered linen cupboard is all about investing in several $39 gliders and baskets from Howard’s Storage World (pictured)
These baskets (pictured) help insofar as you can slide your possessions in and out easily
‘Can we start a linen cupboard thread. I need to get mine sorted and [am] seeking inspiration,’ one woman posted on the From Great Beginnings group, to the tune of hundreds of comments and photos.
Some wrote that they swear by grey baskets from popular discount store, Kmart, while another user said a neat and well-ordered linen cupboard is all about investing in several $39 gliders and baskets from Howard’s Storage World:
‘Although [they are] not as pretty as most it’s practical and works well. All the baskets… slide out for easy access,’ she explained.
All you need to do is attach the baskets and gliders together for a simple system that allows you to view what’s inside your closet with ease.
Many said that it’s useful to watch YouTube videos in order to roll your towels as they do in the hotels

‘Have towels the same colour or like colours,’ one person wrote – that way, they look neat and tidy together (pictured)
Others shared photographs of their colour-coordinated cupboards, with neat and tidy Sheridan towels stacked on top of one another.
Some even stored bouquets of flowers inside their cupboard to help their linen smell fresh.
Adelaide-based interiors blogger Iryna Federico previously shared how she gets that ‘just-washed’ scent on her towels and sheets.
‘Put a diffuser in there – I found a tiny “fresh linen” diffuser at Target and it smelled heavenly,’ she told FEMAIL.
‘The scent gets absorbed into the fabric and makes everything smell freshly washed even if it was cleaned months ago.’
Meanwhile, another homeowner shared her tried-and-tested tips to get your linen cupboard looking Pinterest-worthy in no time:
‘Have towels the same colour or like colours,’ she said. ‘Buy some neutral-coloured boxes in either black, white, beige or light brown.
‘Kmart has some nice industrial-looking fake wood boxes. You can keep some or all of your linen inside them.’

Another user said that whenever they fold their sheets, they put the matching pillowcases inside
The user also recommended following YouTube tutorials on folding towels and linen.
‘You can learn to fold towels like they do at the hotels, and roll face washers and put in a shallow box with the towels standing up.’
Another user said that whenever they fold their sheets, they put the matching pillowcases inside:
‘It keeps them neat and they don’t get mixed up,’ they said.
Iryna said it’s worth throwing out or re-purposing old towels when they get old and crusty
Iryna recommends figuring out ‘the best and easiest way to fold your towels so they fit the dedicated space nicely’ (pictured: two linen cupboards)
Among her other tips, Iryna Federico said it pays to throw out or re-purpose ‘old and crusty towels’ or teach all members of the household to fold towels in exactly the same way.
‘Figure out the best and easiest way to fold them so they fit the dedicated space nicely,’ she explained.
Iryna also stressed the importance of rolling hand towels and face washers as it looks the best and eliminates the need for folding and utilising baskets for organisation.
