Ariana Grande announces a Yes, And? remix with Mariah Carey: ‘She is the queen of my heart and lifelong inspiration’

Ariana Grande took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce the release of Yes, And? remix featuring Mariah Carey.

‘I cannot believe the words I am typing,’ Grande wrote.

‘Yes, And? Remix feat the one and only queen of my heart and lifelong inspiration is out this Friday.’

The cover art for the remix is a polaroid image of the two blonde beauties up close looking into the camera.

Ariana wore her hair in her signature ponytail with natural makeup and bold lashes. Mariah lightly smiled as she wore a sheer shimmery black top that showed off her exposed bra.

‘Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this dream come true and for sprinkling your brilliance and magic on my little song,’ Grande added in a note to Carey.

In promotion of the remix, the Wicked star changed her Instagram profile picture to a polaroid image of her eye. Carey did the same with her own eye.

This created a puzzle for fans to piece together.

Ariana has been compared to Mariah ever since her career began.

Some called Grande the new Mariah Carey because of their shared diva persona and ability to sing in a whistle register.

Nick Cannon, Mariah’s ex-husband, shared that he showed his ex-wife a video of Grande singing one of her classic hits, which she had responded cordially to initially.

Cannon said in an interview with VladTV that she was turned off by the Grande comparisons.

Then on, the internet pinned the two against each other- leading the public to believe there was bad blood.

In 2020, Mariah and Ariana teamed up with Jennifer Hudson for the release of Christmas song Oh Santa.

The song showcased both Carey and Grande’s whistle notes, as the collaboration put the feud rumors to an end.
