Ariana Grande claps back at fan who called Eternal Sunshine her ‘worst era EVER’ and said they preferred her last album

Ariana Grande took time out from attending the Olympics to share a few words for a fan that criticized her new album Eternal Sunshine.

An X (formerly Twitter) user posted: ‘This is her worst era ever I’m sorry positions era was better.’

The post made the We Can’t Be Friends singer, 31, salty and she clapped back.

‘Please go enjoy listening to it then! I’m glad you finally like it, ‘ she wrote, adding a heart and xx to her reply.

After all, both albums are hers, so why would she care which one fans prefer as long as they are listening?

Another fan wrote: ‘eternal sunshine and positions are ariana’s best albums,’ while a third said: ‘This is her best era ever btw.’

‘it’s always her own fans. they made her cut positions era short because they hated it, drove her off of twitter because they criticized her voice team. if only she knew the things some of yall say about rem beauty and wicked…,’ someone else wrote.

‘Every fan does this with every new era. Y’all hated Positions at the time and now suddenly LOVE it during a new era? And then when she starts a new era, everyone will start to love/miss Eternal Sunshine. I swear people can never just enjoy the present,’ someone else pointed out.

A lot has happened in the Wicked star’s life since she released Positions in 2020.

She married and divorced real estate agent Dalton Gomez, began the labor-intensive production on the film adaptation of Wicked and started dating her married co-star Ethan Slater.

That gave the Thank U, Next hitmaker plenty of emotional material with which to craft the first album of her 30s.

Her fourth studio album ushers in a new era for the Florida native and she billed the project as a ‘concept album’ where she deals with the fallout from her divorce and the scandal from the start of her relationship with Slater.

Right out of the gate on Intro, Grande dives into her own emotional cesspool as she sings:

‘How can I tell if I’m in the right relationship?/Aren’t you really supposed to know that shit?/Feel it in your bones and own that sh*t?’

And while her fans debate which of Grande’s eras are the best, the Bang Bang singer is living her best life in Paris.

She was spotted in the audience for the qualifications round for the women’s artistic gymnastics competition.

During a brief interview she gave from the stands, she flashed her iPhone lock screen, and eagle-eyed fans glimpsed a photo with the silhouettes of two people, which they thought were Ariana and Ethan.

The screen background was clearly of two people, and it also appeared to show a woman standing to the left of a man, but their identities were difficult to make out at such a small size.
