The charge stems from an incident which took place on Friday. Police were called to Alyssa’s house at about 4pm, when a family member reported that Alyssa had shot Hudson and then tried to kill herself, according to ABC 15.

Upon their arrival, officers said they found Alyssa, lying on the bathroom floor, with bleeding stab wounds in the neck. Hudson was also in the bathroom, dead from a gunshot wound, according to police documents obtained by AZ Central.

According to court documents, Alyssa's mother said that before police arrived, Alyssa had stabbed herself in the neck multiple times and held the gun to her own head

handgun was found in the bathroom and it’s believed that the gun was used in Hudson’s shooting. Alyssa allegedly told a police officer that she had shot Hudson and tried to kill herself.

Upon examining the gun, officers discovered that one of the bullets in the magazine had been loaded backwards, jamming the gun before it could be fired again, according to court documents, which also revealed that Alyssa’s mom had told police that Alyssa stabbed herself in the neck several times and held the gun to her own head.

Police do not believe that a third party was involved in Hudson’s death, nor do they think the shooting was accidental, FOX10 reported.

Police who interviewed Alyssa said in their report that there were indications that she was mentally disturbed and noted that she displayed signs of ‘control/ownership/jealousy issues.’

During her police interview, Alyssa reportedly said that she was sorry and admitted that she was in ‘deep, deep, deep,’ but that ‘No one would understand.’

Alyssa’s bond was set at $750,000. She is scheduled to appear in court on December 22.
