The bomb squad are currently searching a bus in Melbourne’s north for a suspicious device after a man called police and refused to leave the vehicle.
Victoria Police said officers are conducting a ‘safety check’ on the vehicle in Kalkallo, about 30km from the city centre.
The bus was travelling from Sydney to Melbourne when a male passenger in his 40’s allegedly made a Triple-0 call at about 4.20am.
The bus stopped in Mitchell Street where the other passengers were removed.
