Arnold Schwarzenegger pranks fans as he pretends to stretch on his kitchen counter

Arnold Schwarzenegger pranked his 24.5 million followers  as he pretended to perform the splits on Instagram on Tuesday.

The 75-year-old multihyphenate – who was recently spotted biking to the gym – tricked fans into thinking he was stretched out on his kitchen island.

He set a pair of prop legs wearing black sweatpants and white Adidas shell-toe sneakers on the counter in a spread position and stood directly behind it.

It gave the illusion that the limbs were his own, as the counter actually covered his real legs.

He wrote in the caption: ‘Mobility and flexibility are so important to me. Subscribe to the Pump Club at the link in my bio for more tips and tricks.’

The post racked up over 113,000 likes from his fans in less than an hour.

With a cigar in his mouth, the former California governor said, ‘Flexibility is just as important as weight training itself.

‘So here we go. Suck it in,’ he directed as he poked his chest out while dressed in a black T-shirt with a photo of himself printed on it.

The golden-colored graphic showed a younger Schwarzenegger flexing in a bodybuilding competition.

It read: ‘Arnold Classic. Columbus, Ohio.’

‘Up with your arms, and then reach slowly to the side,’ he explained to the camera while demonstrating the action.

‘Nice, and then the other side,’ he said while turning to stretch toward one of his faux feet.

As he instructed his virtual audience, cinematic music from The Terminator played loudly underneath his voice.

The living legend then stretched to the center with his arms out in front of him.

He pretended to struggle, making groaning sounds to mimic stress.

Next, Arnold placed his hands on his hips and said, ‘Ah. Anyway, I feel very flexible today,’ before finally walking away from the counter to reveal that the legs on it were not real.

‘I’m really proud of myself,’ he said with a straight face as he continued to walk away.

Arnold’s 25-year-old love-child Joseph Baena, who was born after the actor had an affair with housekeeper Mildred Patricia Baena, has followed in his dad’s footsteps with his love of bodybuilding and acting.

He and his son sometimes team up for a workout at Gold’s Gym, which Schwarzenegger helped make famous after he arrived in the U.S in October 1968, when he was just 21.
