Arnold Schwarzenegger’s nutritionist says he eats FROSTED FLAKES

Arnold Schwarzenegger and LeBron James’s nutritionist says he eats FROSTED FLAKES for breakfast for this surprising reason

A nutrition expert who has worked with Arnold Schwarzenegger and LeBron James has revealed that he eats Frosted Flakes for breakfast.

Adam Bornstein, who has been working in fitness  for more than a decade, says he still makes time for the treats to make it easier to stick to diets.

He said this helps him achieve weight loss or a body physique that lasts and stops him from yo-yo-ing between meal plans.

Frosted Flakes are of little nutritional value, with one bowl being a quarter of someone’s daily sugar allowance, but Mr Bornstein said they help hit fitness goals.

Writing in his new book, You Can’t Screw This Up, he said: ‘Start with what makes you happy, and then add the other healthy behaviors around that.

‘That’s the cheat code in life.’

He added: ‘When you leave this cycle of thinking that you need to live in restriction, you find a lot of things you used to crave, you don’t crave anymore.’

In the book, reports The Insider, he compares dieting to pulling back a slingshot saying that for every food that is cut or banned the ropes are pulled tighter.

Eventually, something has to give, he said, and the slingshot snaps back – leading to a pattern of yo-yo dieting and periods of restriction followed by bingeing.

To break this cycle, he said it was best to always incorporate some foods that a person likes into every diet.

This includes even those that are branded ‘unhealthy’ by some wellness gurus.

Mr Bornstein was also the fitness editor for Men’s Health and runs the company Born Fitness, which focuses on online fitness and diet coaching.

He initially studied psychology before changing track and deciding that he wanted to go into writing.

It comes after nutritionists revealed the nine foods that are hampering your fitness goals.

By now, anyone embarking on a weight loss journey knows the basics — avoid junk food, sugary sodas and candies.

But if it feels like you can never shift those last few pounds despite eating ‘clean’, experts say it’s probably due to a handful of key food groups.

DailyMail.com spoke to three dietitians who said that while some foods might seem like the ideal choices for weight loss – organic and plant-based options, for example -could leave you consuming too much or feeling hungry again shortly after.
