An Arsenal side full of youngsters cruised into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night by thrashing Bolton Wanderers 5-1 at the Emirates Stadium.

Jack Porter made headlines at the start of the night when the 16-year-old goalkeeper set a new record as the youngest player ever to start a competitive game for the Gunners.

He also became the second youngest Arsenal player ever, after Ethan Nwaneri.

Nwaneri was aged just 15 years and 181 days when he made his debut as a substitute in September 2022.

Two years on, Nwaneri scored his first two Gunners goals on Wednesday. Raheem Sterling also opened his account for his new club, while Declan Rice and Kai Havertz were the other Arsenal scorers.

Aaron Collins netted a consolation strike for the side currently 19th in League One.
